My daily exploration of the Bible, taking it one chapter at a time. If I do it everyday, it'll take 1189 days.

2 Chronicles 11

Rehoboam amassed an army to attack Israel, but God told him to stop, so everyone went home.

Rehoboam built Judah up and fortified her cities. Judah acquired the Levites, because Jeroboam rejected them. Things went ok for Judah for a bit.

Rehoboam had 18 wives, and he set up his son, Abijah, to be chief prince. He acted wisely.

Key verse:
17. They strengthened the kingdom of Judah and supported Rehoboam son of Solomon three years, walking in the ways of David and Solomon during this time.

My thoughts:
So far, Rehoboam isn't too bad. He listens to God, and attracted the priests and Levites. But things will change soon. Chronicles in general has a more positive view of Judah than Kings.
