My daily exploration of the Bible, taking it one chapter at a time. If I do it everyday, it'll take 1189 days.

Isaiah 51

If you seek God, then look into your past to see your future. God blessed Abraham, and turned one man into many. God will look after Zion. His law will be a light to the world.

His salvation is coming. Heaven and earth may disappear, but God's salvation is eternal. Don't fear men, but fear God. He led us out of Egypt and made the universe. You are God's people. Salvation is near.

Jerusalem has drunken God's wrath. But that goblet of wrath has been taken away forever. It has been given to her enemies.

Key verse:
6. the heavens will vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment
and its inhabitants die like flies.
But my salvation will last forever

My thoughts:
Look at your life and determine how much time you spend concerning yourself with things that will ultimately pass away. How much time do you spend concerning yourself with eternal things in comparison? The eternal things, like salvation must be of foremost importance. Also see 1 Corinthians 13 for three other matters of eternal concern.
