My daily exploration of the Bible, taking it one chapter at a time. If I do it everyday, it'll take 1189 days.

Isaiah 59

God's armour

God isn't unable to hear you. It's your sin that'd getting in the way. You are murderous liars who don't want justice. They don't know peace. So God gives us no light, so we grope the walls to find our way. We have no justice or peace.

God watched us and saw that we were all bad, so he just relied on his own righteousness. It is his breastplate, and salvation is his helmet.

He will give vengeance to the nations, but mercy to Israel.

Key verse:
17. He put on righteousness as his breastplate,
and the helmet of salvation on his head;

My thoughts:
Compare verse 17 with Ephesians 6. In Ephesians 6, God is giving us his own armour to wear, which is quite exciting. I suggest you read Ephesians 6, and pray to put on the armour everyday.
