My daily exploration of the Bible, taking it one chapter at a time. If I do it everyday, it'll take 1189 days.

Habakkuk 1

An active God

Habakkuk: God! Why don't you listen?! There's injustice going on!
God: Wait and watching. I'm getting the violent Babylonians to kill the unjust people.
Habakkuk: God, you're perfect and cannot tolerate evil. We're like little fish to you. Why would you allow other nations to hook us like fish forever?

Key verse:
5. Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told.

My thoughts:
This has gotta be one of my favourite verses in the Old Testament. This isn't a God who does nothing. This is a God who acts and can answer questions of his justice. Yay God.
