My daily exploration of the Bible, taking it one chapter at a time. If I do it everyday, it'll take 1189 days.

Matthew 14

The king had locked John up, and he promised a girl whatever she wanted, and she wanted John's head, so she got it.

Jesus heard this, and trying to have some alone time, but he was followed by a crowd of about 5000 men. But he saw them and felt sorry for them, so he ministered for them and fed them by miraculously multiplying food.

Afterwards, the disciples went across on a lake in a boat, and at night Jesus walked on water out to them. They were shocked, and Peter asked to do the same, which he could whilst he kept his eyes on Jesus. Which he didn't so he sunk.

Key verse:
16. Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat."

My thoughts:
Heh! What do you do when Jesus asks you that? Do you say "No! It's impossible!"? Or do you have faith that God will do it through you. When God calls you to walk on water, do you doubt?

These miracles both make it into John's gospel as well.
