My daily exploration of the Bible, taking it one chapter at a time. If I do it everyday, it'll take 1189 days.

Luke 12

Don't worry, be happy

Summary:
Watch out for the Pharisees. They are only worried about this world. Don't worry about problems of this world, but make sure your eternal salvation is secure. God will give what to say when you have to defend your faith.

Don't focus on wealth and getting rich. It means nothing when you die, and you might die tonight.

Don't worry about stuff. God will look after you. The animals don't worry, and God looks after them! Just focus on God.

Always be ready for Jesus to come back. He could come back at any time.

Jesus came to divide, not to bring peace. It is a message that will polarise people.

You can judge the weather by the skies. In a similar way you should be able to judge the times.

Key verse:
34. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

My thoughts:
So much of our faith is just dependent on trusting God. Trusting him with everything. We can so easily get caught up with worry, but we need to listen to what God says about situations, not what our mind can make up!

I was told that 40% of what we worry about will never happen, and 40% has already happened. Gotta love statistics, but this one wouldn't surprise me one bit.

58 days to Halo 3!
