My daily exploration of the Bible, taking it one chapter at a time. If I do it everyday, it'll take 1189 days.

Mark 15

They took him to Pilate to be condemned to death. Jesus didn't give many answers, but Pilate reluctantly gave him to be killed, because the crowd wanted it. The soldiers mocked him by putting him in king's purple, and giving him a crown of thorns and pretending to worship him.

He was crucified. Someone else carried the cross. His charge was for being King of the Jews. He was mocked.

When he died, there was darkness for ages. He felt forsaken by God. A Roman call him God's Son, and some of his family and followers were there when he died. Mostly women.

A guy Joseph had him buried, and Mary and Mary saw the tomb where he was buried.

Key verse:
47. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.

My thoughts:
Mark again is careful to cover his bases saying that they definitely didn't get the wrong tomb.

We don't often hear about the women who followed Jesus but they definitely seemed to make up a significant proportion.
