My daily exploration of the Bible, taking it one chapter at a time. If I do it everyday, it'll take 1189 days.

Luke 18

Persistent touching

Even bad people will do good if pestered enough. So persevere with God who is good!

Be humble before God. Clear sinners are generally better at this.

We have to become like children to get into heaven.

A rich righteous man was disappointed when Jesus expected him to give everything away and follow him. It's impossible for the rich to enter heaven. Luckily God is good at impossible.

Jesus predicted his death and resurrection, and healed a blind man.

Key verse:
15. People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them

My thoughts:

This whole humility thing is interesting. How grateful are we really when we come to God? Do we feel like sinners who God gracefully chose to love, or do we feel like we kinda deserve it?

Few people are truly keen to be persistent in prayer, but then fall into doubt when nothing happens. Have faith. Keep going.
