My daily exploration of the Bible, taking it one chapter at a time. If I do it everyday, it'll take 1189 days.

2 Thessalonians 3

Idle freeloaders

Pray that the gospel spreads.  Know that God will look after you.

Don't hang out with lazy believers who don't follow the teachings.  Remember the example we set.  You don't work, then you don' eat!  But don't consider them enemies though.  They're still brothers.

Key verse:
6. we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.

My thoughts:
Well, here's your Biblical mandate not to be a lazy freeloader!

It's cool that though you may dissociate with someone, they are still considered brothers being warned...

Why do people think that Paul didn't write this?  I'm very sceptical about such claims.  They just don't seem to have any definitive basis.

Ah. That make sense. Didn't he die in a mass musical crucifixion some 30 years prior?
